Due to differing priorities, all organisations require a unique security solution. Add to this the permutations of existing systems, multiple sites, remote users, integrated databases and inherent security weaknesses and you have a bespoke requirement for each individual business.
This is why it is imperative that the first step in developing a complete security solution must be the assessment of the existing security provisions and a clear understanding of future requirements from the ICT system. Having completed the review, our consultants will use the information gathered to formulate a strategic security policy. The agreed policy is then used to underpin the procedures and technologies that will be used in the creation of the resulting individually tailored security solution.
Once the security solution is implemented and deployed, the system should be reviewed on a regular basis. We normally recommend that this takes place on at least an annual basis, after the occurrence of an incident or as part of the process in the major change / re-engineering of a system.
