Network Auditing
An unfortunate common occurrence
Unfortunately we often encounter information and communication technology (ICT) solutions that have been hastily put together without proper due diligence and planning being carried out. Called in after the event to “clean up the mess”, we normally discover that the solution, as installed, was supplied as a transaction orientated sale where the Client’s real needs had not been properly identified.
Regretfully this is especially true for some of our younger customers who at the time were embarking on their first foray into networking and had no real concept about what was involved in deploying and maintaining a robust, reliable and secure network.
Our Approach
Working with us you will find that our approach to business is totally different. We will not attempt to even propose an ICT solution, or deliver support services, until we have a very clear understanding of the business needs and drivers of your business.
As a professional technology provider we would advocate an initial consultative engagement where we perform a basic audit of existing ICT provisions and carry out a thorough business needs analysis. Our findings enable us to formulate sound, well researched recommendations on how to develop further your ICT solutions and optimise the return on existing investments. Some of our most loyal customers are those who called us in for a “clean up job” and have now experienced for themselves the benefits that our “no corner cutting” approach to solution development can deliver.
The ICT Audit and Needs Analysis
An ICT Audit and Needs Analysis is primarily designed as a comprehensive survey to identify what a client has in terms of ICT resources and the requirements of the Users.
The resulting report takes into account positive and negative User experiences along with the identified core requirements of the organisation. It is designed to ensure that a clear road map can be developed from its findings to assist in the obtainment of business objectives and to show the way to maximising the return on current and future ICT investment.
Performed by one of our General Business Consultants, in collaboration with our Engineering Team, the Audit is normally delivered as a fixed fee consultation and is always tailored to the needs and engagement brief of the client.
