Backup is generally considered a hassle - especially during a crisis when key data needs to be recovered quickly.
i-backup is a refreshing and modem solution to the niggling and critical process of ensuring timely and efficient backup and retrieval of business critical data. Without the hassle of traditional backup, with system obsolescence, media management and minimal security, i-backup is a fully automated service that enables data to be backed up from across your local or wide area network to secure offsite mirrored data centres.
Backup - Software agents are installed on the network requiring backup. Once installed and configured the agent will scan for changed data, assemble a file of what has changed since the last backup, compress and encrypt the file and transfer it ( via a a secure internet or Leased DSL connection) to a central backup server located at one of our mirrored data centres.
Restore - Via an inbuilt administration function, administrators may choose to recover from a particular file, directory or all of a server's I workstation's data. They simply select the file or directory to be restored, date and time of the backup and the destination for the recovered information.
Access to backed up data - Backed up data can be accessed via the software agent 24 hours per day or via a web browser when travelling away from the office. For those with multiple locations it is possible to grant shared permissions to others. This is a highly secure process, which allows co-workers to share key documents. service providers to share key data with clients and teleworkers to access office and home data in a secure, protected manner.
